(Yicai Global) Sept. 25 -- Shanghai will establish an unmanned system industry chain and brand in Jinshan district, as the market for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned ground vehicle (UGVs), unmanned ships and intelligent robots is developing apace.

Jinshan will encourage the research, production, testing and system integration of drones, self-driving vehicles and vessels, and intelligence robots and will focus on promoting the construction of three unmanned system bases to form an industrial cluster in Shanghai, Hu Weiguo, head of the Jinshan district government, said at the 2017 World Unmanned System Conference.

Shanghai will accelerate the creation of an unmanned system industry base, bringing relevant enterprises into Jinshan including those interested in the development, production, system integration and testing of UAVs and key systems such as flight control and power.

The city will foster production-study-research cooperation; set up and push forward the research and development of unmanned systems, simulations and test platforms; achieve breakthroughs in crucial techniques for UAV design testing, assembly and integration; quicken the pace in introducing and training talents; encourage model innovation; and promote the transfer of scientific and technological advances.
