(Yicai Global) July 30 -- Shanghai will strengthen the link between venture capital firms and the city's financial markets, including the new Star Market, to support investment firms' exit routes. 

The city will support the Shanghai Equity Exchange, an over-the-counter market, to collaborate with VC firms, according to a report released by the municipal government today. Shanghai will also build a financial platform to offer loans, brokerage services and guarantees for technology companies to go public.
