(Yicai Global) March 26 -- Shanghai has detected 18 more new imported coronavirus cases to bring its total of imported infections to 112 as of yesterday, the city's health commission announced this morning.

Among these new additions, 13 are Chinese citizens, including four Shanghainese, two are UK nationals, and the rest are Italian, US and Canadian nationals, according to the commission.

Nine arrived in the eastern Chinese financial hub from the US, five traveled from the UK, two left from France, while the others came from Malaysia and Indonesia respectively, the commission said.

Authorities have traced 73 people who had been in contact with these patients during their journeys and placed them under quarantine, the commission added.

Some 20 suspected cases, also involving people who have recently been overseas, are undergoing further tests.

No new local cases or suspected domestically transmitted cases surfaced yesterday, according to the commission.

Among the city's total of 451 patients, five have died, eight are in critical condition, and 108 are stable, while 330 people have fully recovered and left hospitals, the commission noted.
