(Yicai Global) Jan. 31 -- Chinese face mask factories are doubling down to increase production as demand soars due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

Workers at Dasheng Health Products Manufacturing are working round the clock to produce around 60,000 masks a day. The Shanghai-based company mainly produces masks for export but has turned to fulfilling domestic demand as well. Many workers sacrificed their annual Chinese New Year holiday to stay in the factory and to do their part to fight the spread of the deadly pneumonia.

Dasheng has five production lines of masks. Workers work in two shifts around the clock.
