(Yicai Global) June 11 -- The Chinese stock market's three benchmark indexes climbed this morning. The Shanghai Composite Index returned to an above-2,900-point reading after five trading days.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed 1.87 percent higher at noon, while the Shenzhen Component Index rose 2.91 percent. The ChiNext soared 3.13 percent.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.07 percent higher this morning, while the Shenzhen Component Index was up 0.11 percent. The ChiNext started the day 0.11 percent stronger.

Securities stocks led the gains with an average increase of 5.22 percent, followed by infrastructure with 4.49 percent.
