(Yicai Global) Dec. 6 -- China's stock markets opened mixed in morning trading today. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped below the psychologically important 3,300 level after holding out for several days, while bargain hunters helped the Growth Enterprise Index climb back up.
The Shanghai Composite Index was at 3,294.32 points at 9:55 am, down 0.28 percent after opening at 3291.31 points, 0.37 percent lower than the previous day's close. It sunk to a new three-month low of 3279.74 in the mid-morning.
The Shenzhen Component Index was at 10,900.33 points, up 0.42 percent after opening down 0.15 percent.
The Growth Enterprise Index, made up mostly of small-cap companies, was up 0.82 percent at 1,773.05 points after shedding 0.16 percent at the open.
