(Yicai) May 24 -- Dozens of Shanghai businesses are at an international cultural trade exhibition in Shenzhen, which showcases the sector and the digital economy.
The 22nd China Shenzhen International Cultural Industries Fair, covering an area of 450 square meters and with six exhibition areas, opened its doors yesterday.
The main venue of the five-day event is at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center. A wave-shaped light-emitting diode screen at the entrance shows a series of cultural achievements from the past year, and there are performances and displays of cutting-edge digital science and technology, as well as cultural and creative products.
First held in 2004, the annual fair has become a leading cultural event in China and a key platform for promoting Chinese culture globally.
Shanghai Century Publishing Group and Shanghai Yuewen Information Technology have brought books such as Blossoms by Jin Yucheng and A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains by Sun Ganlu to this year’s event.
In terms of movies and television shows, Radio and Television Station of Shanghai is showing its archaeological documentary China Before China, as well as patriotic dance drama The Eternal Wave.
Yicai’s parent company Shanghai Media Group is also at the exhibition with Scube, a tool for artificial intelligence-generated content, showing how AI can empower features such as news and sports broadcasting. Shanghai United Media Group is also showing a “future digital editorial office,” which features new tech applications.
Streaming site Bilibili and miHoYo, which developed the popular online vide game Genshin Impact, are also in attendance. The fair will end on May 27.
