(Yicai Global) July 4 -- Cainiao Network Technology Co., which internet behemoth Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. [NYSE:BABA] has a 51-percent stake in, and Shenzhen Hive Box Technology Co., a subsidiary of SF Holding Co. [SHE:002352], reached a consensus on data sharing and cooperation yesterday, marking the end of a dispute over distributing data, the State Post Bureau said.

Express courier services provider SF Holding and logistics firm Cainiao Network Technology blamed one another for operational disruptions caused by breaks in data sharing that took place on June 1.

The State Post Bureau issued an alert to consumers immediately after the incident, and convened a meeting of the companies' senior managers, calling on them to maintain market order and protect consumers' interests. The firms settled the disagreement and restored data sharing at 12.00 p.m. yesterday.

In the last month, the national bureau stepped up coordination efforts and set the stage for in-depth discussions between Cainiao and SF on data sharing and information security protection with the ultimate objective of creating a favorable environment for the mutually beneficial development of e-commerce and express delivery businesses in the digital economy. The companies eventually reached an agreement via consultation out of a sense of responsibility to their customers.

The bureau did not provide additional details.

Shenzhen Hive Box Technology Co. developed Hive Box, a smart package locker network that is open 24-7 to all couriers and e-commerce logistics service providers. The company was set up by five logistics groups, including SF, in 2015. SF holds a 35-percent stake in the firm.
