(Yicai) April 16 -- Wildberries, one of Russia's largest e-commerce platforms which began accepting Chinese sellers last year, is looking to expand its business presence in China and attract more local merchants by offering streamlined shipping options and a new seller incentive program.

Wildberries, a leading marketplace for clothing, shoes, and electronics, launched the "Star Program" for young entrepreneurs in China, the Moscow-based competitor of Ozon and Yandex.Market announced yesterday.

Participants in the program will receive benefits such as commission discounts, traffic support, and partner assistance. The launch event drew around 2,000 attendees, including successful sellers who have already used the platform to sell their products.

Operating in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, Wildberries has over 75 million active users each month. Last year, the platform’s total transaction volume reached USD50 billion, capturing 47 percent of the Russian e-commerce market. In 2024, Wildberries completed brand registration in China, enabling Chinese sellers to begin selling on the platform and benefit from weekly settlements in Chinese yuan.

In the same announcement, the marketplace also introduced a standardized logistics fee structure for Chinese sellers to improve cost transparency and reduce operational expenses. Merchants can either ship orders directly to Russia or use the Fulfillment by Seller option, sending products in advance to Wildberries' warehouses.

Wildberries operates its own delivery infrastructure, which includes over 1,700 vehicles and more than 58,000 pickup points across Russia, covering areas from Siberia to the Arctic and from the Far East to Moscow. To further support Chinese sellers, Wildberries has set up four seller service centers in Ningbo, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Tianjin.
