(Yicai Global) Feb. 23 -- Risen Energy Co. is planning to spend CNY2 billion (USD316 million) to build a 5-gigawatt solar module manufacturing base in Yiwu in east-central China's Zhejiang province to expand its global solar energy market share.

The company, based in Ningbo, Zhejiang, inked an investment framework agreement with the Management Committee of Yiwu Information and Photoelectric Hi-Tech Industrial Park for such production base project on Feb. 21, the photovoltaic power generation and solar module developer announced yesterday.

The performance of the agreement will promote the company's production capacity of photovoltaic power generation and related products and its technical levels in related product manufacturing, and will positively influence its future operations, per the announcement.
