(Yicai Global) Aug. 16 -- QCraft, which is about to unveil China's first autonomous ride-hailing bus this year, has closed its USD100 million Series A+ round of financing after closing its Series A1 early this year.
The latest fundraiser was led by YF Capital and Genesis Capital, tech news outlet 36Kr reported today. Meituan's investment fund Long-Z and internationally renowned pension funds, as well as existing shareholder IDG Capital joined the round.
The report didn't disclose how the fresh capital will be used but proceeds of the earlier Series A1 were earmarked for building an autonomous driving facility.
Founded in Silicon Valley in 2019, QCraft develops software that can be used in complex urban environments. The firm has offices in Suzhou, Shenzhen, and Wuhan.
The company has been able to get its technology onto city streets. QCraft introduced the country's first monthly transport card for unmanned buses in Shenzhen. The firm has also launched an unmanned fifth-generation wireless bus project in eastern China's Suzhou.
QCraft's Dragon Boat fleet, including passenger cars and buses, is expected to surpass 100 units this year.
