(Yicai Global) Nov. 28 -- The China's homegrown abdominal surgery robot production sector is like to see a massive rise over the next three years, Xinhua News Agency cited Sun Lining, the vice director of the State Laboratory for Robotics and System, as saying during the 2017 World Medical Robotics Conference held recently in Shenzhen.

Producing abdominal surgery robots domestically will help to dramatically reduce the cost of surgery in the country, allowing more patients to enjoy high-end medical service, Sun said.

"Domestic scientists are still working on intelligent surgery robots that can sense the intentions of doctors," Sun said, "It is predicted that homemade abdominal surgery robots will be massively produced and brought to the market in three years."
