(Yicai Global) July 18 -- Ping An Healthcare and Technology, China's largest healthcare platform, has joined hands with almost 50 domestic hospitals, including the Aviation General Hospital linked to the China Medical University, to create a new online clinic.
Ping An Healthcare, also known as Ping An Good Doctor, will connect its platform with the databases of these hospitals so that their clients may choose from an array of online services, including consultation and drug prescriptions, news website 36Kr reported.
Founded in 2014, Ping An Good Doctor had 265 million registered users and 54.7 million monthly ones at the end of last year, ranking first in the telemedicine sector. The Shanghai-based firm has both in-house and external medical staff, and the platform, which even delivers medicine, is open 24/7 throughout the week.
Ping An Healthcare's [HKG: 1833] stock price fell 2.3 percent to HKD29.50 (USD3.80) this morning.
