(Yicai Global) Sept. 1 -- The 2022 World Artificial Intelligence Conference opened in Shanghai with over 500 AI industry heavyweights from around the world.
The guests include winners of Turing, Nobel, and Fields Medal prizes, members of the National Academy of Sciences, presidents of top universities, and more than 400 representatives of industry organizations and entrepreneurs.
The conference will also feature plenary sessions on AI innovation and industry developments, as well as 10 forums, and several industry ecology forums.
Shen Xiaoya, the virtual host of the opening conference, was performing on the stage.
Robin Li, founder, chairman and CEO of Baidu, gave a speech.
Hu Houkun, a rotating chairman of Huawei Technologies, delivered a speech in person.
Cristiano Amon, president and CEO of Qualcomm, was speaking to the audience online.
Another highlight of online speakers was John Riccitiello, president and CEO of 3D content creation platform Unity Technologies.
