(Yicai Global) May 22 -- The People's Bank of China announced yesterday on Weibo plans to issue yuan-based central bank bills again in Hong Kong. The announcement didn't disclose issuance time or amount.

The move will mark the fourth time that the central bank has issued the central bank bills in Hong Kong. The move comes just one week after the PBOC successfully issued CNY20 billion (USD2.9 billion) in yuan-based central bank bills on 15th May. The total amount of tenders exceeded CNY100 billion.

In November of last year and February of this year, the central bank also issued yuan-based central bank bills in the special administrative region.
