(Yicai Global) Dec. 19 -- Pakistan is considering a plan to replace the US dollar with the Chinese yuan for its trade with China, the newspaper Dawn quoted Pakistani Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal as saying yesterday.
He made the statement after the formal introduction of the Long Term Plan for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor 2017-30 that the two countries signed on Nov 21.
Using the Chinese currency does no conflict with Pakistan's interests, and would benefit the country, he said.
