(Yicai Global) Aug. 30 -- Some 99.1 percent of Chinese internet users access the net via their smartphones, according to a report published today by the China Internet Network Information Center.

The country had 854 million internet users as of the end of June, up 26 million from six months earlier. As a percentage of the population, that is 61.2 percent, a 1.6 point gain. Some 847 million used their phones to go online, up 29.8 million.
