(Yicai Global) Oct. 17 -- Over 80 Singaporean companies will 'flock' to participate in the China International Import Expo held in November.

These companies' products will be showcased in exhibition areas for service trade, food and agriculture, and high-end smart equipment. The service sector space will cover over 1,000 square meters, and features displays of Singapore's logistics and transport, finance and banking, education, and healthcare, state Xinhua News Agency reported today, citing Singapore Business Federation sources.

The CIIE belongs not only to Shanghai and China, but also the world, said SBF president Zhang Songsheng. Companies from the southeast Asian island state hope to seek opportunities and partners in China by participating in the expo to jointly expand their markets in third countries, he added.

Singapore's strength in regional networks, technology, and professionals can help Chinese firms carve out market share in Southeast Asia and all the world. The country welcomes companies from China and other nations to visit its exhibition area, to discuss cooperation and develop business, Zhang said.

SPF will hold two business cooperation activities during the CIIE to provide a communications platform for Singapore and Chinese companies, helping them to seize development opportunities and form new economic synergies.
