(Yicai Global) Dec. 25 -- The Chinese Football Association has decided that Chinese Super League's foreign soccer players cannot make more than EUR3 million (USD3.3 million) in annual pay from next year onward, which should cut the salary of Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Junior by nearly 90 percent.
Meanwhile, domestic athletes should make a maximum of CNY10 million (USD1.4 million), the CFA said in a statement today.
Shanghai SIPG's Oscar earned EUR24 million, according to a Forbes ranking in June, making the Brazilian midfielder one of the highest-paid soccer players in the world.
