(Yicai Global) Sept. 21 -- A subsidiary of defense contractor China Ordnance Industries Group, better known as Norinco, has won a contract to supply desulfurization pumps to a power plant project in India.
 
A Sichuan Nitrocell unit will supply special industrial pumps to Bharat Heavy Electricals which acts as general contractor for National Capital Power Station Dadri in Uttar Pradesh in a deal worth USD800,000, the Sichuan-based firm said in a statement.
 
The firm will provide special industrial pump products such as circulating pumps and slurry pumps, the contract states without revealing details of their purpose or quantity. Delivery will be completed over the next 30 months.
  
The contract win represents international acknowledgment of the quality of Nitrocell's product, the statement said, adding that the successful project's completion will help the company win more deals in South and Southeast Asia.
