(Yicai Global) Dec. 7 -- The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RNBZ) released the annual assessment of the ‘Trade Weighted Index’ (TWI), in which the weight of the yuan rose to 20.4 percent from 19.7 percent, sina.com reported today.
The weight of the Australian dollar (AUD) roughly remained at 20.7 percent, while the greenback roughly unchanged at 14 percent. The Japanese yen (JPY) increased from 6.4 percent to 6.8 percent. The British pound (GBP) advanced from 4.6 percent to 4.8 percent, while the euro (EUR) dropped to 10.3 percent from 11.3 percent.
The change will take effect tomorrow and be valid for the next 12 months, said RBNZ.
