(Yicai Global) Oct. 26 -- Leshi Internet Information and Technology Corp. Beijing [SHE:300104], which is rebranding itself as New Leshi, has established a new management committee chaired by Zhang Zhao, chief executive of Le Vision Pictures Beijing Ltd.
Former Leshi CEO Liang Jun, who submitted his letter of resignation this week after filling the role for less than half a year, is not on the committee, online news outlet The Paper reported yesterday.
The committee is mainly responsible for planning and management of New Leshi's overall business development. Other members include Sun Hongbin, chairman of the listed arm, and several of the company's senior executives.
Zhang Zhao, who joined Leshi in 2011, holds a master's degree in film from New York University and is also the founder of Le Vision Pictures, the parent company of Beijing Enlight Pictures Co. Leshi is currently planning to aquire Le Vision.
Leshi, part of the LeEco brand, has been embroiled in a financial crisis since the beginning the year. It has seen significant management changes, with founder Jia Yueting successively resigning from his positions as CEO and board chair. These positions have since been occupied by vice president Liang Jun and Sun Hongbin, board chair at Sunac China Holdings Ltd. [HKG:1918], which pumped CNY15 billion (USD2.26 billion) into the listed LeEco arm in January.
