(Yicai) June 26 -- The 2024 Mobile World Congress Shanghai has kicked off, focusing on artificial intelligence, low-altitude economy, and fifth-generation technologies.
The MWC Shanghai, which opened today and will end on June 28, has attracted over 8,000 companies from 115 countries and regions. Amazon Web Services, iFlytek, NIO, and Xiaomi will participate for the first time.
After more attention was paid to AI than 5G technologies at the MWC in Barcelona in February, the MWC Shanghai will showcase a wider range of AI-implemented solutions, primarily focusing on industrial and daily life scenarios.
Yicai learned that Huawei Technologies will unveil its latest advancements in communication models for the first time at the event, Xiaomi will display its "people x cars x home" intelligent ecosystem concept, and Nio will demonstrate its panoramic connectivity solutions based on its Nio Link technology. Lenovo Group will exhibit intelligent terminal solutions for the consumer market and customized AI services tailored for government and enterprise users.
In the hardware field, XReal will showcase new accessories for its augmented reality glasses, including a 50-megapixel 3-dimensional dual camera and the XReal Beam Pro.
In addition, industry experts will discuss the latest real-world tech applications, including drone deliveries, the electric vehicle revolution, autonomous cars, and flying taxis, according to Sihan Bo Chen, president of the Global Systems for Mobile Communications Association China.
At this year's MWC Shanghai, the chairpeople of China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom will all deliver keynote speeches for the first time, said John Hoffman, chief executive of GSMA. Huawei also unveiled its "5GA" network logo in a recent video.
