(Yicai Global) Nov. 12 -- MSCI added 58 Chinese securities to its MSCI Global Standard Index and removed 47 as a result of its semi-annual review of equity benchmarks.

MSCI added a total of 111 stocks and deleted 105, the leading provider of research-based indexes and analytics said in a statement yesterday. All changes will be implemented as of the market close on Nov. 30.

The three largest additions to the MSCI Emerging Markets Index measured by market capitalization will be China’s Hoshine Silicon Industry [SHA: 603260] and CRRC [SHA: 601766] as well as South Korea’s Krafton, New York-based MSCI said.

In the MSCI China All-Share Index, 68 stocks were added and 52 deleted. By market value, Hoshine Silicon Industry, CRRC, and China Coal Energy [SHA: 601898] were the three largest new securities.

A total of 231 stocks were added to the MSCI China All-Stock Small-Cap Index, with 235 eliminated. The MSCI China A-Shares Onshore Index added 53 constituent stocks and removed 30 target stocks.

The semi-annual review covered the MSCI Global Standard, MSCI Global Small Cap and MSCI Micro Cap Indexes, as well as the MSCI Global Value and Growth Indexes, the MSCI US Equity Indexes, the MSCI US REIT Index, the MSCI China A Onshore Indexes and the MSCI China All Shares Indexes.
