More Than 180 US Companies to Take Part in CIIE More Than 180 US Companies to Take Part in CIIE

(Yicai Global) Nov. 4 -- The US is the third-most represented country in terms of exhibiting companies at the inaugural China International Import Expo, which starts tomorrow. Some 180 companies from the States will take part in the event, China's commerce ministry confirmed. 

Global chief executives from US firms Johnson& Johnson, DuPont, Qualcomm and Microsoft will be on hand at the event, Wang Bingnan, vice-minister of commerce, said at a press briefing in Shanghai on Saturday.

Wang said he hopes that companies from both China and the US can work together, and make full use of the expo platform to achieve a mutually beneficial.

More than 1,000 firms from 58 countries along the Belt and Road will also attend this event, Wang added. They are expected to display a variety of products from agricultural products to consumer goods and garments in a booth area of 45,000 square meters.
