(Yicai Global) July 2 -- A plane operated by MIAT Mongolian Airlines that was flying to Ulan Bator from Seoul made an emergency landing at Beijing Capital International Airport this afternoon after an engine failed.
Flight OM302 touched down safely after a Code 7700 incident, according to Chinese flight information provider VariFlight.
Emergency Transponder Code 7700 indicates a special emergency during flight, with the aircraft identified separately on air traffic control screens when the pilot issues the code.
The plane was over Bazhou city to the south of Beijing before landing, per the radar map. It landed at Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport at 1.20 p.m. The flight was cancelled later.
