Mobike Unveils Car-Sharing Services With New Energy Vehicles in Guizhou Province Mobike Unveils Car-Sharing Services With New Energy Vehicles in Guizhou Province

(Yicai Global) Dec. 29 -- China's shared-bike giant Beijing Mobike Technology Co., better known as Mobike, has started trial operations for its car-sharing services in southwest China's Guizhou province. Mobike will use new energy vehicles (NEV) as the first batch of its shared cars. The company will also use single app for both shared-bike and car-sharing services through Internet of Things technology.

Mobike held a release ceremony in provincial capital Guiyang today. Its shared-cars will be on trial operation in Guian New Area and other urban parts of the city. The Mobike app will help users carry out such car-sharing functions as one-key smart unlocking, temporary parking and locking, car returning, order payment and other functions. The app functions will meet different mobility demands, thus developing a convenient and efficient comprehensive green transportation system, the firm said.

"The Mobike shared cars released in Guian New Area and Guiyang are organically connected with its shared bikes via the Internet of Things technology. While following the concept of green and sustainable urban development, they will meet diversified urban mobility demands, become a sound supplementation to the urban public transit system, and facilitate Guian New Area and Guiyang to realize the goal of developing eco-friendly cities that are livable, suitable for doing businesses and tourism," said Wang Xiaofeng, co-founder and CEO of Mobike .

"Gui'an New Area will step up guarantees for policy, capital, talent and other factors, and deliver the top-quality services and safeguards for the development of the project," said Zong Wen, deputy secretary of the Party working committee of Guian New Area and chairman of Guian New Area Development and Investment Co.

Mobike signed a partnership deal with Guian New Area, Xinte Electric Vehicle Industry Co. and other parties last month to build a green and intelligent transportation demonstration project. It selected Guian New Area as the pilot area and the new energy vehicle sharing system as the entry point. By employing Big Data and the Internet of Things technology, the project seeks to provide more users with efficient and convenient green mobility services through the green and intelligent transportation system of Mobike bike-sharing and carsharing services, the company said.
