(Yicai Global) March 21 -- MiiVii Dynamics, officially Miwen Power Technology Co., has closed millions of dollars in its A-round funding as it looks to ramp up research into artificial intelligence services, recruit talent and develop new markets.
Boyan Jiaming and Hongqi Haochun led the round, with support from Silicon Valley Bank and Runfang Yuanchang, tech news portal Lieyun reported.
The Beijing-based company developed the MiiVii brain, an embedded supercomputing platform based on Tegra chips made by industry giant Nvidia Corp. The service provides a host of algorithms for vision, navigation and obstacle avoidance.
MiiVii focuses primarily on two fields: robotics and industrial vision. It provides intelligent solutions for traditional robot manufacturers, and helps other producers by offering smart manufacturing technologies, such as industrial detection and automated sorting.
