(Yicai Global) Oct. 31 -- France's LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton and Kering, the owner of Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, and Balenciaga brands, will make their first appearances at the quality life exhibition area of this year's China International Import Expo.

The luxury goods multinationals will bring their customized designs, including bags and watches, to the expo, Gao Ping, head of the exhibition area, told Yicai Global yesterday.

The quality life area of the event, held in Shanghai from Nov. 5 to Nov. 10, will also have gems, cosmetics, household chemicals, furniture, and baby products. The dedicated area of 63,000 square meters will have more than 830 exhibitors from 87 countries and regions, including over 30 Fortune Global 500 companies.

Japan's Kao will showcase its cosmetics innovation, a foundation spray, resulting in a mask that can be peeled off without makeup remover. US Procter & Gamble will debut its skincare device that can detect freckles and provide targeted care.

Jimmy Choo's Genavant will once again carry its CNY30 million (USD4.3 million) diamond-encrusted high heels to the site to be viewed by those who didn't manage to see the dazzling sight last year.

Due to the high value of goods, many exhibitors install their own security systems while the expo organizer will also assure tight security, said Gao.
