(Yicai Global) Feb. 9 -- The Lujiazui Financial Executives Health Forum and First Shanghai Forum for Medical Institutions With Foreign Capital, jointly organized by Lujiazui Financial City Council, the CEO Roundtable on Cancer, and Shanghai Tuoxin Health Improvement Center, started yesterday.
Prof. Wu Fan, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning and Dr. Martin Murphy, chief executive of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer, made opening remarks. More than 200 people, including leaders and experts from major foreign-funded hospitals and large public hospitals in Shanghai, representatives from Lujiazui Financial City Council member companies and office workers attended the event.
At the meeting, Lujiazui Financial City Council Secretariat and the CEO Roundtable on Cancer signed a memorandum of understanding. The two sides will collaborate on health education and publicity, workplace health and finance and healthcare investment to introduce high-quality medical resources both at home and abroad to better provide a full range of health services to businesses and white-collar workers in Lujiazui Financial City.
The meetings inaugurated the Health Service Green Card Financial City Special Edition. Representatives from more than 40 members of Lujiazui Financial City Council such as Bank of Communications Ltd., HSBC, Ping An Insurance Group Co. of China Ltd., Ernst & Young, Shanghai Branch of Bank of China, Shanghai Branch of China Construction Bank Corp., Citibank Corp., Tianan Property Insurance Co., Zhong Ou AMC, Shanghai Life Insurance Co., and Baker & McKenzie's Shanghai representative office received the health service green card.
The forum also held five symposia, including how to obtain treatment for ailments, serious illnesses, specialist clinics, medical insurance and health prevention and management, and discussed in detail the services,circumstances and advantages of foreign-funded and outstanding public hospitals in Shanghai.
As the core functional area of Shanghai international financial center, means of providing better medical services to domestic and foreign staff has always been a key issue to which Lujiazui Financial City closely attends and strives to resolve.
