(Yicai Global) Oct. 24 -- Leshi Internet Information and Technology Corp. [SHE:300104] may lose another key figure.

LeTV chief executive Liang Jun has submitted his resignation and is currently on leave, The Paper has learned from an insider.

He is on leave to set things in order and specifics will be forthcoming in an announcement by LeTV, Liang said.

When its reporter called the office of the LeTV's board secretary to ask about Liang's resignation, staff said they had received no relevant information, The Paper reported Oct. 24.

Liang's resignation comes as a bombshell after his recent promotion to the position of LeTV's general manager following Jia Yueting's resignation from that post in May.

Liang is 47 and was a senior executive at Lenovo Group Ltd. [HK:0992] for 17 years before LeTV poached him.

Liang joined LeTV in 2012 as president of its subsidiary Leshi Zhixin Electronic Technology Tianjin Ltd. to handle the latter's TV business, and helped the company win its reputation in this field.

Liang is also the global chief of LeEco's mart devices product and research and supply-chain. Aside from its TV business, LeTV's intelligent terminals also include its mobile phone business which triggered its capital-chain crisis, the repercussions of which reverberate to the present.
