(Yicai Global) Sept. 19 -- Leshi Holding (Beijing) Co. and Leshi Mobile Intelligent Information Technology (Beijing) Co. have reached an agreement with more than 50 suppliers, settling over USD15.4 million (CNY100 million) in debt, Securities Daily reported, citing a higher-up at Leshi Holding.

Over 50 of Leshi Mobile's suppliers sent a signed letter to LeEco, thanking Jia Yueting and his company because they "took ultimate responsibility" in the face of a financial crisis. The vendors said that they hope LeEco can overcome obstacles.

Jia appeared in Hong Kong last week. Insiders speculated that his meetings in the region may have helped him arrange a debt repayment program with suppliers under financial constraints.

Jia's presence in Hong Kong on Sept. 15 attracted media attention. Jia traveled to Hong Kong to solve problems with LeEco's non-listed affiliates' debt and to negotiate financing for the group's automotive business, especially for its self-driving supercar, LeEco said.

The Tianjin No. 2 Intermediate People's Court included Leshi Holding and Leshi Mobile on its list of "dishonest debtors" on Sept. 7 due to their refusal to comply with legal obligations despite being capable of doing so.
