(Yicai Global) Aug. 29 --  J.P. Morgan announced today to start taking registrations for the ninth J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, a charity race to be held on Nov. 14 at Shanghai International Music Village.

The 5.6-kilometer event regularly attracts more than 5,000 runners and walkers from more than 200 companies, according to a company statement today.

"We are very excited that the Corporate Challenge is returning to Shanghai for its ninth consecutive year," said Mark Leung, chief executive of J.P. Morgan China.

"Shanghai is an important part of our 13-city, seven-country, five-continent celebration of corporate fitness and camaraderie," he said. "It is heartening to see so many companies take part and make it one of the most popular after-work events that promotes well-being and a work-life balance in the workplace."

The event will continue to support charities in countries where the events are held with the 2019 beneficiary to be announced prior to the race night, the company said.

Last year, it donated to the China Social Entrepreneur Foundation, also known as the YouChange Foundation, a cross-border e-commerce workforce training program that helps underprivileged young students find jobs in e-commerce.
