(Yicai Global) Sept. 19 -- JNBY Design Ltd. [HKG:3306] posted substantial increase in net profits for the first half year, benefiting from upgrade in consumer habits as well as the company brand, it said. JNBY net profits reached CNY3.32 billion (USD504 million) in the first half of 2017, the company fiscal report shows.
The total revenues hit CNY23.32 billion, up 23 percent over the same period last year, with net profits jumped 38.5 percent.
JNBY generates its main revenue from selling products to distributors and end customers through self-operated shops and online channels. By end-June, the total number of JNBY physical retail stores worldwide increased to 1,591, including 39 overseas distribution points. The company' retail network covers all the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in the Chinese mainland and spans 17 countries and regions across the world, it says.
2017 Fiscal Year is the first fiscal year for JNBY after its listing, the company said, adding it largely benefited from consumers' pursuit of quality life and their demand for personalized and fashionable products, which brought design factor to more prominence among them. The main womenswear designer brand of the company made a revenue of CYN13.65 billion (USD210 million), which accounted for nearly 60 percent of total revenue.
