(Yicai Global) Oct. 10 -- China Power Investment Corp., an affiliate of China's State Power Investment Corp., has awarded a contract to Zhejiang Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals Co. [SHE:002318] to supply steam-heat conduits for its Bailong nuclear power station project in Southwest China's Guangxi autonomous region.
Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals has received formal notification of the tender award and will sign a related contract soon, the firm said in a press briefing yesterday.
The company will supply 69 U-shaped heat transfer pipes designed for the third-generation AP1000 nuclear reactor steam generator, to be installed at the Bailong Nuclear Power Station.
The statement did not mention a value for the contract.
Located in Fangchenggang in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Bailong Nuclear Power Station will boast a six-megawatt pressurized water reactor (PWR).
