(Yicai Global) June 17 -- Shares in China’s Zhejiang Jindun Fans closed nearly 3.4 percent higher today after the ventilation systems manufacturer revealed it had won a joint USD3.8 million bid to supply for a subway network in India.
Its stock [SHE:300411] finished at CNY9.78 (USD1.38) while the benchmark ChiNext Price Index rose just 0.15 percent.
Jindun will provide Gujarat Metro Rail with tunnel ventilation systems for the subway in Ahmedabad in tandem with M/s Sterling & Wilson, the supplier said in a statement yesterday. It did not disclose further details, such as how the joint contractors will split the work and takings.
Ahmedabad is the largest city in Gujarat state on the Indian west coast and is an important textiles and transport hub in the region. Its 6 million population makes it the largest city in the country by populous, according to public data.
Jindun fans specializes in developing ventilation equipment for subways, tunnels, nuclear power plants and railroads and its products are used on metro networks in Beijing, Shanghai and Singapore and at power plants in China and Pakista, according to its website.
