(Yicai Global) Aug. 2 -- Photovoltaic solar energy accessories company, Jiangsu Akcome Science & Technology Co. [SHE:002610], will sell the ownership equity of a 12MW photovoltaic power plant in Akita, Japan, to optimize its assets structure and transform toward asset-light operation mode.

Akcome said yesterday that its subordinate plans to sell assets of 12MW Akita-based photovoltaic power plant to Meiwa Corporation [TYO:8103], related to Mitsubishi Group, for about CNY101.2 million (USD15 million). The pre-tax profits are expected to be within the range of CNY35 million.

Akcome said apart from the power plant, the assets to be sold include the project development right approved by the department of economy, trade and industry in Akita, on-grid position of power company and surface right of 370,000 square meters of land.

In the future, Jiangsu Akcome will focus on asset-light service and energy internet field to gradually finish transformation and upgrading from equipment manufacturer to power production and operation, and eventually power consumption services, it said.
