Jia Yueting's Last Key Partner at LeEco May Depart Jia Yueting's Last Key Partner at LeEco May Depart

(Yicai Global) Aug. 24 -- Abulikemu Abulimiti (Amu), chief executive of Leshi Mobile Intelligent Information Technology (Beijing) Co. (Leshi Mobile) and the last key partner of Jia Yueting, former president of Leshi Holding (Beijing) Co. -- better known as LeEco -- is to leave the company, according to LeEco's internal meeting.

Amu joined Leshi Mobile as chief executive in April after working as vice president of LeEco's strategic planning and management department responsible for the firm's global strategic planning and operations management since January 2015. Amu was executive director of corporate management at well-known consulting firm Roland Berger International Management Consulting Co. before joining LeEco. Yang Xinjun, president of LeEco's financial platform, resigned two days ago only after three months on the job.

Amu is Jia's last key partner at LeEco. At least 20 executives have left the cash-strapped LeEco since last year, which has made over 1,000 layoffs, media reported.

Sun Hongbin, chairman of Sunac China Holdings Ltd. [HKG:1918], took over as chairman of Leshi Internet Information and Technology Corp. [SHE:300104] (LeTV), the listed arm of LeEco, after Jia stepped down on July 6. Sunac China pumped USD2.25 billion (CNY15 billion) into LeTV in January and is currently the company's second-largest shareholder.
