(Yicai Global) April 16 -- E-commerce giant JD.Com has inked a deal to provide China Pet Foods with new retail technology services including big data to help the industry heavyweight improve operational efficiency and offer products according to customers' demands.
China Pet Foods has signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with Beijing-based JD, the Yantai-based firm said in a statement.
JD will employ big data technology to help China Pet Foods secure its customers' profiles and market tendencies in an effort to produce pet foods that meet market demands, and conduct targeted marketing to boost its profit margin, the statement said.
Both sides will also work together on integrating supply chains for pet foods to boost operational efficiency.
