(Yicai Global) Oct.19 -- Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com Inc. [NASDAQ:JD] has received more than 1.1 million pre-orders for Apple Inc.'s [NASDAQ:AAPL] iPhone X, which is set for release on Nov. 3, the company said in a press briefing yesterday.

JD.com is China's first e-commerce platform to sell the iPhone X, and will synchronize sales and dispatches with Apple's official website on release day.

The online retail site also provides services for iPhone customers, including trade-ins of old handsets and installment payment plans.

JD.com said it would have plenty of stock ready for the release and that its e-commerce site, own stores and third-party stores would coordinate on procurement efforts.

The firm also developed a risk control system to prevent fake or malicious orders, third-party stockpiling, click-farming and other dishonest activities.

JD.com has been the official authorized platform for online iPhone retail in China since the US-based smartphone giant officially entered the Chinese mainland in 2009, and has sold more than 15 million iPhone handsets so far.
