(Yicai Global) Sept. 22 -- The China Netcasting Services Association and three television and movie industry groups issued a document today that outlines restrictions on TV and movie actors' pay in order to settle relevant issues including unreasonable production cost structure and unbalanced income distribution.
The document requires that the remuneration of leading roles cannot exceed 70 percent of the total compensation of all actors, which shall not exceed 40 percent of overall production costs.
Producers must put on record and make relevant explanations to respective business associations if the total remuneration of all actors is over the limit, the document said.
