(Yicai Global) Aug. 10 -- The catastrophic flood situation in Wuhan in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River has been easing, and the city lowered the flood control emergency response to IV from level III today. Local tourist site Hankou Jiangtan Park will reopen today.

Public facilities in some areas of Hankou Jiangtan Park are ripe for reopening. A colorful running track has re-emerged after the waters receded.

Only the top of a riverside sculpture sticks above the river.

Workers take down steel flood control gates.

Crews clear away silt left by the flood.
