(Yicai Global) Jan. 9 -- A wave of travelers hit Shanghai’s railroad stations on Jan. 7, the first day of the Spring Festival holiday rush.
The 40-day rush period kicked off this year with about 230,000 travelers leaving the city by train. To meet demand, Shanghai’s rail operators reopened all routes and will run an additional 272 trains across China.
