(Yicai Global) June 6 -- Shanghai’s high schools resumed face-to-face classes for second- and third-year students today after a nearly three-month halt due to Covid-19. All other students will continue their studies online.

College and high school entrance exams have also been postponed by a month this year, Shanghai’s education authorities said in May. They will be held on July 7 to 9 and on July 11 to 12, respectively.

With Covid-19 restrictions preventing students from taking public transport, some rode bicycles to school.

According to the city government, more than 5,000 police officers were deployed to ensure a safe and orderly return to school life.
