(Yicai) Sept. 6 -- Shanghai Disney Resort will open the first Zootopia-themed land among all Disneyland resorts at the end of the year. It will also be the amusement park’s eight themed land.

Premiered in 2016, Zootopia broke the box office record for animated movies in China. Merchandise and interactive e-games about the animation are very popular in the country.

Fur costume characters of Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, the two protagonists of Zootopia, take the stage for a performance.

The buildings, roads, and even traffic lights of the Zootopia-themed land look exactly the same as those in the Disney animation.

A store in the Zootopia-themed land sells ice creams and donuts in different sizes to satisfy the needs of different animals, just like in the movie.

A mechanical animated puppet of Chief Bogo having a speech from the Zootopia Police’s stand is one of the highlights of the land.

The new land will feature Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, an attraction using a trackless riding system featuring Judy and Nick.
