(Yicai Global) Aug. 11 -- More than 400,000 cars, close to 10 percent of the total, were damaged in Zhengzhou during the heavy rainstorms that hit China’s central Henan province on July 20. Zhengzhou was the province’s hardest-hit city.
As of July 28, Henan’s insurers received 226,400 vehicle claims for assessed losses of over CNY6.4 billion (USD987.3 million), making up about 65 percent of the total property insurance claims, provincial officials told reporters at the end of last month.
