(Yicai) Sept. 10 -- Apple has unveiled a series of new products, including the iPhone 16 lineup, at its September new product launch, the US tech giant’s biggest event of the year.
The iPhone 16 places a strong focus on artificial intelligence, making it a key part of the smartphone’s new features and functionality.
“The next generation of iPhone has been designed for Apple Intelligence from the ground up,” Chief Executive Tim Cook said at the event held at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California. “It marks the beginning of an exciting new era.”

Preorders for the iPhone 16 series, priced from USD799 in the United States and CNY5,999 (USD843) in China, will open on Sept. 13. Sales will start on Sept. 20.
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, the premium versions, are priced from USD999 and USD1,199 in the US and CNY7,999 and CNY9,999 (USD1,124 and USD1,405) in China, respectively.
Apple also released new smartwatch products, the Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2. The Apple Watch Series 10 is priced from USD399 in the US and CNY2,999 (USD421) in China.
Apple brought out two new earbud products, the AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2, priced from USD129 and USD249 in the US and CNY999 and CNY1,899 (USD140 and USD267) in China, respectively.
Apple debuted the new AirPods Max at the launch event. Priced from USD549 in the US and CNY3,999 (USD562) in China, they are available for preordering.
