(Yicai) Nov. 9 -- Chinese developer and supplier of aesthetic materials Imeik Technology Development has obtained the exclusive rights to sell the aesthetic equipment of South Korean firm Jeisys Medical in the Chinese mainland.

Imeik and Jeisys signed an exclusive distribution agreement allowing the former to sell two of the latter’s non-invasive anti-aging skin beauty equipment and consumables in the Chinese mainland for 10 years, the Beijing-based firm announced late yesterday.

Imeik will be responsible for conducting necessary clinical trials, applying for regulatory approval, and completing registration of the two devices in the Chinese mainland, the firm added.

Imeik did not disclose the financial prospects of the deal but mentioned that it would pay a deposit of USD1 million for the cooperation, which will be used for product procurement after the two pieces of equipment receive regulatory approval in China.

The cooperation will make full use of Imeik’s sales channels for aesthetic products, thus providing new revenue and profit growth sources for the company, Imeik noted.

Jeisys specializes in developing and producing aesthetic equipment. It has a rich product pipeline and operates in more than 40 countries and regions.

Imeik’s shares [SHE: 300896] closed unchanged at CNY330.75 (USD45.40) in Shenzhen today.
