(Yicai Global) March 6 -- Swedish furniture giant IKEA has announced a recall of over 90,000 of its Kullen three-drawer dressers sold from April 2005 up until the present in the Chinese mainland because of a safety hazard, according to the Shanghai Municipal Administration for Market Regulation.
These bureaus are prone to topple over and cause injuries if not properly affixed to a wall in accordance with its instructions, IKEA said, though no such incident has yet been reported in China since the model's 2005 market debut.
Another IKEA wardrobe, the Malm, has claimed eight children's lives in North America because of its tendency to fall over and the now Netherlands-based furniture giant accordingly recalled it in 2017.
