IKEA, Asus to Debut Over 30 Esports Products for Gamers in China IKEA, Asus to Debut Over 30 Esports Products for Gamers in China

(Yicai Global) Feb. 1 -- Sweden's IKEA and China's Asustek Computer will join hands to launch over 30 esports-related home furnishing products, including tables, chairs, and mouse pads.

IKEA will team with Asus's hardware brand, the Republic of Gamers, and the products will first be debuted in China's mainland and then in other markets, Beijing Business Today reported today.

China had 665 million gamers in 2020, rising more than three times from 2010. Chinese players tend to be younger than their overseas counterparts as almost half of China's gamers are aged between 16 and 24.

The new product launch should attract some sales but whether it can majorly improve the home decoration chain's business performance remains to be seen as the esports community is still relatively small in China, an industry analyst told the same news outlet.
